To download a file with DepositFiles Filemanager you need to do just two steps:

1. To add files to the program;
2. To download files in turn.

How to add files to DepositFiles Filemanager.

To add links to files you can by five ways:

1st way: to add links through the menu "files » paste": — clicking there will open a dialog where you can write down a link, or copy-paste it;

2nd way: to add unfinished DF-file — all files that downloaded by FileManager being unfinished have extension *.df and are saved in a catalog where downloaded files are saved. You can transfer the files to another computer with Depositfiles Filemanager installed on it and add the files to the program. Filemanager will continue downloading the files.

3d way: to import links from previously saved file of links. If you want to download selected files on another computer, we recommend you to export the list of URLs to a *.dflink file, then on another PC you can import the link to the program and download them.

4th way (recommended): to add links to program working area by draging or copying. You can easily drag and drop into program any text from any HTML page, opened in the browser. For this select text on a page and drag it using mouse left button to Filemanager working area. You can also easily copy to program any text from any page, file, document etc. For this select needed text on a page and do copy-paste (Ctrl+C - Ctrl+V). Independently on dragged or copied text, filemanager will detect link in the text and add them into the downloading line.

5th way (recommended for FireFox users): using of plugin for FireFox — if you use FireFox browser, we recommend you to use DepositFiles FileManager Plugin (is installed with the main program): on any page you are it will illuminate all Depositfiles links and will alow to add them to the downloading line with one click on it.

After links are added to the program you can download them.

How to download a file DepositFiles FileManager.

After you have added links to the program they appear in the working area and the program automatically makes a request to a server about the file, checking its availability and size.
If the file is deleted or the link is incorrect you will see an "invalid url" message. These files cannot be downloaded.
All other files can be downloaded either in GOLD or in GUEST modes. Also there is a FREE mode (the mode of a registered account, who's GOLD has expired). The differences in interface in different modes are illustrated below:

You can start downloading with a button
– starts to download selected files.
– starts to download all the files (no more than 8 at once)
– starts forced downloading of a file independently on the downloading line. It is useful when 8 files are downloading and you need one more file to be added. The option shouldn't be used without high necessity and for many files.

In FREE and GUEST mode you can download only one file in one thread. If to start to download a file you need to wait, you can press the "download" button, and the program will start to download a file after the waiting period.

Additional information.

• The space on disk needed for future files, that are downloading – is allocated when downloading starts. If there is not enough free space, – the downloading process will not start;
• The time of allocating space for files is usually equal to the time of copying the files, i.e. the bigger file, the longer allocating procces;
• The maximum speed of download can be reached if you will use the maximum available amount of threads and the maximum number of downloading files; we recommend to setup these options according to your PC output capacity of your ISP channel;
• all files are downloaded in a default directory, but before starting download – you can choose another directory for selected files;
• for using all the functions of the program, please, look through its options;
